“AIRFAIRS – THE FAIR WAY TO FLY”
ENABLED BY DATALEX
Dublin, January 16, 2009
-
Frontier Airlines has launched
AirFairs “a whole new way to buy
and fly”, through a technology
partnership with Datalex.
The Datalex Travel Distribution
Platform (TDP) replaces their
Sabre Sonic Solution and
elevates the airline’s online
presence to an advanced level of
flexibility and control, while
allowing Frontier to deploy new
customizable fare merchandising
capabilities. This was achieved
in record time due to the
maturity and flexibility of
product.
“I
couldn’t be more pleased with
the Datalex team,” said
Frontier President and CEO Sean
Menke. “We set a very
ambitious timetable for this
project, and they helped us meet
our goals. We now have a product
that is on the cutting edge of
technology in the airline
industry and substantially
differentiates us from our
competitors. Datalex played a
big part in that.”
New fare structures let the
customer choose which fare level
best meets their specific travel
needs. AirFairs offers a choice
of three different fare levels;
Classic Plus, Classic or Economy
with varying levels of service
offerings. Frontier experienced
conversions of 40% to higher
levels
driving significant yields.
Frontier is the latest major
carrier to select Datalex as
their technology partner for
booking and processing of
‘unbundled’, a la carte and
ancillary products and services;
abstracting from any system
inefficiencies and driving
increased yield and competitive
advantage.
Hosted in Datalex’s Data Centre
in Atlanta, TDP integrates with
Frontier’s business systems and
other hosts to provide a new and
significantly enhanced online
shopping solution with the
ability to price via a fare and
rule import direct from ATPCO.
Advanced shopping features
include fare families, calendar
shopping and the ability to
integrate ancillary services
such as insurance, priority
express check-in, premium seats
and DIRECTV® – Frontier
Airlines’ 24 channel in-flight
live TV service available at
every seat.
